Multiple studies over the years have shown that medical cannabis and dispensaries do not lead to an increase in crime.
A 2017 study conducted in Loas Angeles, California, showed that tobacco and alcohol sales points lead to an increase in property and violent crime but that cannabis dispensaries did not lead to an increase in property or violet crime. You can read the study here:
Another study evaluated property and violent crime rates in Colorado and Washington. the first two states int he USA to legalize adult-use sales. The study concluded that there was no increase in property or violent crimes rates in either state after the legalization of cannabis sales. You can read the study here:
yet another study was published November 2, 2022, looking at crime rates in Colorado and Washington states again. This study also concluded that there was no increase in crime rates due to cannabis legalization. You can read the article here:
