PTMC – Portugal Medical Cannabis started its activity in 2017, even before the Portuguese Parliament approved Medicinal Cannabis, with Lisbon Medical Cannabis, in 2018, followed by PMC19, with four days of conferences and workshops in Lisbon and Porto. The PTMC events brought to Portugal several renowned doctors, researchers and lawyers, both national and international, to discuss the therapeutic potential of cannabis along with its regulation. The aim was always to bring more information and educate the public and health professionals in Portugal. PTMC attendees came from all over the world, with 22 different nationalities.
