About This Opportunity

As a Designer, you will create visually appealing and engaging designs for various platforms, including websites, brochures, and other marketing collateral. Your keen eye for detail and ability to bring concepts to life through visual elements will enhance our brand presence and deliver impactful designs to our audience. This is an opportunity for you to be part of the set-up of a new leading EU player in the medical cannabis market and contribute to strategic marketing initiatives and projects.

The role is based in Lisbon. SOMAÍ facility and office are based in Carregado, 35 minutes outside Lisbon by car.

The position assumes 5/7 full-time employment with a hybrid presence in the office.

What you’ll be doing (amongst others):

• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to understand design requirements and project objectives.
• Develop visually compelling website designs, ensuring a seamless user experience and cohesive brand representation.
• Design eye-catching brochures, leaflets, and other marketing materials that effectively communicate key messages and enhance brand awareness.
• Create graphics, illustrations, and infographics to support marketing campaigns and social media initiatives.
• Optimize images and other visual elements for digital platforms, ensuring fast loading times and compatibility across devices.
• Maintain brand consistency and visual identity across all design projects.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the quality of our designs.

To do well in this role, we believe that you:

• Proven experience as a Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects across various platforms.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
• Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and layout techniques.
• Strong knowledge of current design trends and web and print design best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate concepts into visually appealing designs.
• English proficiency; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A basic understanding of HTML and CSS is a plus.
• A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred but optional.
