The presidential elections took place and we finally got an answer to the question of whether a person with an understanding of cannabis will be in office at the Castle.
During the campaign, the unsuccessful candidate Babiš repeated his previously proclaimed opinion that he was against a more liberal approach due to the “protection of the youth”. On the other hand, President Petr Pavel – perhaps surprisingly for some – did not publicly hide the fact that he is in favor of meaningful legalization. According to him, the reason is that the current system of bans does not work.
