Almost ten percent of the German population (9.6 percent) consumed at least one illegal drug within a year in 2021. For men, this value was 11.6 percent, for women slightly lower (7.6 percent). A new online portal with data on legal and illegal drugs informs about this.
Cannabis was the most frequently consumed (8.8 percent overall). Here, too, the consumption of men (10.7 percent) was higher than that of women (6.8 percent). In second place among men was the use of cocaine (2.1 percent), among women it was amphetamines (1.3 percent).
