Bill aims to decriminalise personal use of cannabis in Ireland

A bill to decriminalise the personal use of cannabis is due to be introduced in the Dáil, the Irish Parliament, in about two weeks.

Dublin MP Gino Kenny, fromthe People Before Profit party, told theJournalthat this is a relatively short bill, which will amend the current legislation on cannabis possession, namely theMisuse of Drugs Act.
